How much it costs to paint or colour-change your alloy wheels in Valencia, what drives the price, and how our robotic painting line delivers a factory-grade finish.
WhatsApp for a Free QuoteRepainting your alloys is one of the most cost-effective ways to transform how your car looks — and to undo years of faded, peeling or oxidised lacquer. But how much does it actually cost to paint a set of wheels in Valencia, and what are you paying for? This guide gives you the real 2026 prices at The Wheel Lab, explains what moves the figure, and shows why a properly prepared, robot-applied finish lasts far longer than a quick respray.
Wheel painting prices in 2026
Our painting starts at €100 per wheel for a single colour, applied on our robotic painting line with a clear protective lacquer. That covers the full process — not just a coat of paint — which is what makes the finish last.
What "single colour" includes
A standard single-colour wheel paint at The Wheel Lab is a complete refinish: stripping the old coating, surface preparation, primer, colour and a UV-resistant clear coat, all applied with consistent film thickness by robot. You are not paying for someone to scuff and spray over the existing finish — you are paying for a factory-grade result that resists kerb wear, brake dust and the Valencia sun.
High-durability and specialist finishes
For wheels that take a lot of abuse, or where you want maximum longevity, we can specify a higher-durability clear coat. Custom colours, candy and pearl effects, and two-tone work all sit above the base price because they involve extra masking, extra coats and more time on the line.
What determines the final price
- Wheel size. Larger diameters — 20", 21", 22" — need more material and more machine time than a typical 17" or 18" wheel.
- The condition of the wheel. A clean, undamaged wheel paints straight away. If there is kerb rash, corrosion or old peeling lacquer, the preparation work needed before painting adds to the cost.
- Colour complexity. A solid colour is the baseline. Metallics, pearls, candies and bespoke mixes require more skill and more coats.
- Two-tone and contrast finishes. Painting the face one colour and the rim or pockets another (or combining paint with diamond cut) means careful masking and two separate processes per wheel.
Matching your factory colour (OEM)
If you simply want your wheels back to how they left the factory, we can reproduce the original OEM colour. Where the manufacturer's paint code is available we work from that; otherwise we colour-match from a physical reference. This is the most popular option for drivers restoring tired wheels on premium cars — Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Range Rover, Tesla — who want a clean, original look rather than a custom colour.
Custom and personalised colours
Want something different? We hold a large colour library and can mix to a specific RAL reference or to a sample you provide. Satin black, anthracite, gunmetal and bronze remain the most requested shades, but the choice is effectively yours. A colour change costs the same as a standard paint as long as it is a single solid colour; effects and two-tone add to it.
What the price includes at The Wheel Lab
When you pay for wheel painting with us, the price covers the complete refinishing process: strip, prep, prime, colour and lacquer, applied on a robotic line for even coverage with no runs and no orange peel. It does not cover transport. We can help you arrange insured transport of your wheels, with the conditions and costs confirmed alongside the quote before any work begins — but we are honest about that being a separate, paid service.
Is it worth painting your wheels?
Almost always, yes. A full set repaint costs a fraction of a single replacement OEM wheel, instantly lifts the look of the whole car, and — when done with proper preparation and a robot-applied clear coat — protects the alloy against corrosion for years. It is also one of the best-value upgrades before selling a car. The only time we would steer you away is if a wheel is structurally damaged, in which case repair has to come first.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to paint alloy wheels in Valencia?
Single-colour painting starts at €100 per wheel and includes the full strip, prep, colour and lacquer process. Custom effects and two-tone finishes cost more.
Can you match my original factory colour?
Yes. We use the manufacturer's paint code where available, or colour-match from a physical reference for OEM and aftermarket wheels alike.
How long does painted finish last?
A properly prepared, robot-applied finish with a UV-resistant clear coat lasts for years and resists brake dust, kerb wear and sun fade far better than a quick respray.
Do I need to remove the tyres first?
No. We can demount, paint and remount your wheels in-house. Mount and balance is €15 per wheel.
