Meet Our Team —
The Experts Behind THE WHEEL LAB

Our equipment is the best available. But equipment does not restore wheels — people do. Behind every set of wheels that leaves our workshop is a team of specialists who treat each job as a personal commitment to quality.

A Small Team. Exceptional Standards.

The Wheel Lab is deliberately not a large operation. We chose depth over volume: a small, highly skilled team with the freedom to give every wheel the attention it deserves, rather than a production-line approach that prioritises throughput over quality.

Our combined experience in alloy wheel restoration, surface finishing and precision machining spans more than a decade. We have collectively worked on everything from standard factory alloys to hand-forged monoblock racing wheels, from daily drivers to concours-condition classics. That breadth of experience informs every assessment we make and every process decision we take.

Our Specialists

Lead Restoration Technician

CNC Lathe Operator & Workshop Lead

The most experienced member of our team, responsible for all diamond cut operations and technical assessment of incoming wheels. With a background in precision engineering before transitioning to wheel restoration, our lead technician brings a level of technical discipline to the CNC lathe that goes beyond standard workshop practice. Every wheel is centred, measured for runout and assessed for metal thickness before machining begins. No assumptions are made; every variable is checked.

Surface Finishing Specialist

Robotic Painting & Lacquer Operations

Surface preparation and coating application are deceptively technical disciplines. Our finishing specialist manages all robotic painting, lacquer and custom colour work, including substrate preparation, primer application and the full cure cycle management. The attention to pre-treatment — phosphate conversion, outgassing, masking — is what separates a finish that lasts from one that fails within months. This is the role most responsible for the durability of every job we complete.

Tyre and Balancing Technician

Touchless Fitting & Road Force Balancing

Tyre work done badly can undo excellent restoration work in minutes. Our tyre technician operates our touchless fitting machine and Hunter Road Force Elite balancer to a standard that protects the finish we have applied and delivers a genuinely smooth result. Match-mount orientation is assessed on every job. Low-profile tyres, run-flats and large-diameter fitments are handled routinely. Client vehicles receive the same care as the wheels themselves during any fitting work.

Quality Control & Client Liaison

Final Inspection & Customer Relations

The last person to see every set of wheels before they leave the workshop. Our quality control role combines a sharp eye for finish defects — assessed under controlled lighting at multiple angles — with the client-facing responsibility of communicating progress, issuing quotes and managing warranty claims. For our English-speaking clients, this role is the primary point of contact throughout the process, ensuring nothing is lost in translation and expectations are consistently met.

Every Wheel Is a Unique Project

Expertise — Years of Hands-On Experience

Wheel restoration is not taught in a classroom. Our team's expertise has been built through years of practical work on thousands of wheels across every type of finish and damage scenario. We have seen — and solved — failure modes that more straightforward workshops have never encountered.

Experience — Real Wheels, Real Outcomes

We work on wheels that matter to people. A set of OEM alloys on a family estate, a set of hand-forged monoblock rims on a sports car, a classic Minilite on a historic rally car — each one is treated as the valuable object it is. We bring the same care to a standard fitment as to a bespoke wheel, because we know the owner does not distinguish between the two.

Authoritativeness — Technical Honesty

We do not restore wheels that should not be restored. If a wheel is structurally compromised, has been over-repaired in the past, or cannot safely accept another machining pass without exceeding thickness limits, we will tell you. Recommending against a job that we could charge for is the most genuine demonstration of expertise we can offer.

Trustworthiness — Written Quotes, Written Warranty

Every quote we issue is written and itemised. Every warranty we offer is documented. We do not change prices after work has begun. We do not proceed beyond the quoted scope without prior agreement. These are basic standards of business practice — but in the automotive trades, they are not universal.

Serving the Expat Community

We have worked with many British, Irish, German, Dutch and Scandinavian residents in the Valencia region who found it difficult to access a wheel restoration service they could communicate with confidently and trust implicitly. We built The Wheel Lab to be that workshop. Language is not a barrier here — and quality expectations from northern Europe are not a surprise.

Continuous Improvement

We invest in updated equipment, training and process refinement on an ongoing basis. The workshop you visit today is more capable than the one we opened. We track defect rates, review warranty claims and use that data to identify and eliminate process weaknesses. Complacency is the enemy of quality work.

Come and Meet the Team

Our workshop is open Monday to Friday in Alaquàs, Valencia. Drop in for an assessment, send photos on WhatsApp for a remote quote, or get in touch to arrange collection if you are outside the area. We look forward to hearing from you.
