Call Us Now WhatsApp for a Free QuoteIf you have moved to the Valencia area from the UK or further afield, you will already have noticed that Spanish roads are not always kind to alloy wheels. Tight underground car parks, granite kerbs on narrow old-town streets, tram tracks through the city, and the occasional pothole all take their toll. At The Wheel Lab in Alaquàs we repair alloy wheels properly — restoring both the structure and the finish so your wheels look and perform as they should.
We are a dedicated wheel workshop, not a general garage that does wheels on the side. That focus matters: we have the equipment, the materials, and the experience to handle everything from a light kerb scuff to a cracked rim that needs welding. We are also the only workshop in the Valencia region with a CNC diamond-cutting lathe, which means we can restore the precise machined finish that many modern Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Range Rover wheels were built with.
Alloy Wheel Problems We Repair
Kerb Damage & Scuffs
The most common problem we see — scuffs and gouges along the outer lip and spoke faces. Filled, re-profiled and refinished to look like new.
Corrosion & Lacquer Lift
White corrosion bubbling under the lacquer, common on older diamond-cut wheels. Stripped back, treated and re-coated to stop it spreading.
Cracks & Fractures
Stress cracks at the spoke roots or barrel. Assessed for safety and, where appropriate, repaired by TIG welding with aluminium filler rod.
Bent & Buckled Rims
Pothole damage that causes air loss and vibration. Straightened on a hydraulic press and verified for runout before being returned.
Faded & Tired Finish
Wheels that have simply aged — dull paint, oxidised polish or worn lacquer. Refinished in the original colour or a new one of your choice.
Peeling Paint
Flaking or peeling paint from a previous poor repair. Fully stripped and refinished in our spray booth for a uniform, durable result.
Why Repair Rather Than Replace?
A genuine OEM replacement alloy can easily cost three to four times the price of a quality repair, and you often have to wait for it to be shipped from the manufacturer. A correctly executed repair restores the wheel to a safe, good-as-new condition at a fraction of the cost — and you keep the wheels that came with your car. For most kerb damage, corrosion and cosmetic problems, repair is the sensible choice.
The exception is structural damage. We will always tell you honestly when a wheel is beyond safe repair — your safety on the road is more important than any single job. Every wheel that comes in is inspected before we quote, and if we believe replacement is the right answer, we will say so.

The Only CNC Lathe in the Valencia Area
Many premium wheels leave the factory with a diamond-cut face — a bright, machined finish created on a precision lathe. When that finish is damaged, the only correct way to restore it is on a CNC lathe, not by hand. The Wheel Lab is the only workshop in the Valencia region equipped with one, which means we can repair diamond-cut wheels to OEM standard rather than simply painting over them.
The same precision benefits every wheel we touch, whatever the finish. Combined with our 12-month guarantee, it is the reason expat and local drivers alike bring their cars to us.
